In 1985, a group of parents, mostly school teachers, decided we could not put our children in the then exploding commercial national child care chains while we worked. As teachers, we knew too much; we valued the unique, precious, vulnerable and most important earliest years of life and could see what we thought was a lack of understanding of this early period in most of the national chains. So, we decided to do our own children's center. We were obviously different, no slick literature, every week staff training program (which soon turned into "Parent University" .) We invite you to visit AND you may have two free weeks for each of your children to compare the difference in our "Home of Parent University" Children's Centers.
