Potty Training Made Easy!

There are too many confusing and even contradictory books about potty training! As parents know, potty training can be very stressful for both parents and children, but it will get more difficult if your child feels "forced" to perform.

Parents can make potty training easier if they create a context of no pressure on the child, where he or she is free to please you without having to assert independence or resistance.

Once you and your pediatrician have determined that your child is physically ready to train, remember that most books and magazine articles try to enroll you in some "technique" for potty training. It is in the nature of techniques that they seem to work for some children but not for others.

The most important factor in making potty training easy, successful and painless for both parent and child is not a technique.
