Before & After School Care
When the school-age children arrive
at one of our centers our "B&A's" dive into a variety
of creative projects intended to support academic growth and nurture
creativity and self-esteem. The curriculum provides our school-agers
with supervised homework time, support with reading and a variety
of sports and group game opportunities. There are opportunities
to discuss social issues while teachers role model and support "Power
Skills" ("Life Skills") such as acknowledgment, responsibility,
teamwork and respect, to name a few. * We provide parents the opportunity
to have their children participate in extracurricular classes such
as pottery, martial arts and dance. And we invite guest speakers
and specialty acts to our centers to entertain and interact with
our children.
*Our school-agers love our Friday "Power
Skills" ("Life Skills") pizza parties where they
practice the power of acknowledgment, teamwork, (Life is a Team
Sport!) respect, enthusiasm, generosity, forgiveness, re-framing,
gratitude, etc.
