From the Desk of Philip Adams... Something Special About Our Centers
"The greatest evil that can befell man is that he should come to think ill of himself" -Goethe During their early years, children form basic attitudes about learning, about school, and most important, about themselves. The child care you choose makes a difference! Next to providing a bright, safe place in which your child's physical well-being is cared for, the most important part of our job is to create an environment of unconditional love and support so that children may fully participate in the many learning possibilities we provide and may develop independence and confidence in themselves. Our special context, or learning environment, is established through consistently positive, respectful interactions with the children by all of our staff. Young children form their opinions of themselves by noticing what significant others, such as parents and teachers, seem to to think of them. Adults communicate their respect and unconditional love most powerfully to children in the quality of the interactions they have with children. Children treated with great respect and love naturally get the idea that they are worthwhile. We think the context we create for our children, or "how" we do what we do, is very important.
